The Landmark Forum & Law of Attraction

For some reason, I avoided the experience called The Landmark Forum for years. Happily, I got over whatever kept me from participating and spent this past weekend in the seminar. It is a game changer. At least it changed my game…first by showing me so clearly what my games ARE and then by illustrating new ways to play that are already making my life a lot more interesting...and FUN!

I saw aspects of my personality melt before my eyes. I felt scrubbed and brand new. I see choices where I’d previously only seen restrictions. I see possibilities where I’d only seen pain. I understand the power of my words and how they are inextricably connected to my ability to create the life I want. Integrity has new meaning. And I am experiencing a new and expanded feeling of power - for my life,  my relationships and myself.

The beauty of this three-day seminar is its simplicity. And that it is in total alignment with everything I already believe. Before the Forum, I knew it. Now I am it.

Even the words Law of Attraction have new meaning. And though I’ve been listening to Abraham for YEARS, I have a new appreciation for the wisdom and the truth within the gentle guidance they offer.

By the way, it wasn't just me who experienced transformation. I witnessed our group of 85 have insights over and over again. Some people actually LOOKED different as they shed a lifetime of carrying around old pain.

It's absolutely true. We are free to create whatever we want. I’m creating the possibility of sharing this new and improved me in ways that empower others to make a difference in the world.

What will you create today?

Music As Medicine - Docs Use Tunes as Treatment

HLG_MusicTherapyAs my loyal readers know, I'm an advocate for the healing power of music. So I was delighted this morning to read an article on msnbc.com about the ways that physicians are now using music for surgery, recovery and rehab. I was especially thrilled that the article featured my dear friend and therapeutic harpist, Tami Briggs. I've witnessed Tami's music soothe agitated patients, help kids fall asleep and assist the stressed into a place of relaxation.

Music heals. End of story.

Beyond the Law of Attraction

_wsb_238x231_DVD+BLOA What do Abraham-Hicks, The Secret and Beth & Lee McCain have in common? Law of Attraction, of course! And they also have a desire to help spread the word about the magic of this very powerful Universal law.

Beth & Lee are wonderful teachers who, in addition to their daily blog, their excellentl Radio LOA broadcasts (where I'm delighted to be an occasional guest), and a variety of other support for the journey, just released their own DVD, Beyond the Law of Attraction. In addition to the McCain's, the film also features some other terrific teachers of our time including Guy Finley, Satyen Raja, Oren Harris and Pops Robbins, with special archival footage of Napolean Hill. (If you're really paying attention, you'll hear a cameo of yours truly...)

Jumpstart your journey with this film that "picks up where The Secret leaves off..." You can order it here for $19.95 (which includes shipping in the US) or at Amazon.com

Global Love Day

GlobalLoveDay_100I received an invitation today to participate in a cause I can get behind! It's called Global Love Day. According to the organizers, "It is our vision to unite one and all in a celebration of love and compassion. We honor each May 1st as a symbolic day of unconditional love and call upon all people and all nations to gather together in the wisdom of peace and love.

"Global Love Day is the universal recognition of our innate oneness through love.  When we come from this limitless love we naturally and easily embrace ourselves and our fellow humanity.  Opening our heart, we allow unconditional love to be our guide and compassion to be our gift to life.

"We invite you to celebrate with us by consciously focusing on love and what it means to you throughout this day.  We hope that by practicing love in all areas of your life, you will find it easy to love unconditionally all year long. Our main theme explains it best..."love begins with me."

The LOVE FOUNDATION asked me to submit a few of my songs about "love" for free downloads on May 1st. "Love is Light" is from REACH UP, my newest album. "Love" is from my first album, TRANSITIONS.  And "What Color Is Spirit" can be heard on MUSIC IN MY SOUL. So here are the links for the free downloads! Enjoy them anytime...even after "love day" is over!

First Susan Boyle...Then Christopher Dolan!

By now, EVERYONE knows the wonderful, heart-opening story of Susan Boyle, the unknown singer who rocked Britain's Got Talent. Millions of people all over the world had the same reaction - melting into tears of joy! If you missed it (where have you been?), take a look here: Susan Boyle on YouTube

To me, Susan represents Law of Attraction at its finest! She states clearly in the video that "I've always wanted to perform in front of a large audience" and "I'm going to make that audience rock!" No resistance, no doubt, no fear...pure positive energy focused on her dream.

I am endlessly delighted by her success and rocket launch to fame! I received the clip from no fewer that 15 people of all ages, professions and locations. And I scour the internet for more Susan News. There's a wonderful video response from a Pakistani man who admits he doesn't understand what she's singing about, but cries just the same. World peace cannot be far behind! Susan Boyle You Make Me Cry

I read another story in today's NY Times that might not get the same media attention, but it's worth sharing. Christopher Dolan is a New York City bus driver who sings opera when his bus is empty...and sometimes, even when it's full! His story is here (or should I say "hear!") The Beckoning of Lovely

If you missed author Amy Krause Rosenthal's original YouTube hit, 17 Things I Made, watch it first. It's only 2:45 seconds of sheer inspiration...and will be a great introduction for The Beckoning of Lovely, the greatest Law of Attraction story I've ever seen on the internet! I won't tell you more than that (I don't want to spoil the fun) and I guarantee you'll smile. Well worth the time. I promise.

And while you're watching great YouTube videos, have you seen the transformation of a few metropolitan train stations? I'm not sure why, but these make my heart open so wide that I cry! First, Antwerp and "The Sound of Music." And if that's not enough, check out Liverpool and the making of the event. Or just the event itself here.

What They Forgot to Tell You...

Rhegina608 My friend, teacher, author and light, Rhegina Sinozich, just posted this beautiful video to help us remember who we really are. It's a wonderful re-minder. View it often...whenever you forget!

The Ultimate in Law of Attraction Music

Logo_pandora Radio_from

Talk about ingenious, Pandora  has taken the idea of Law of Attraction music to a whole new level with  the Music Genome Project.  By categorizing the music of hundreds of thousands of recording artists, they've made it possible to listen to your favorite music AND discover new indie artists that might be flying under the radar. Like me.

So let's say you like Bruce Springsteen (and who doesn't!) You can create a radio station called (can you guess?) Bruce Springsteen. The Music Genome Project has determined that Bruce's music is filled with electric rock instrumentation, acoustic rhythm piano, extensive vamping, major key tonality, a dynamic male vocalist, a prominent saxophone part, prominent organ and heartbreaking lyrics. Wow. That's a pretty accurate description!

Pandora lines up other artists with similar qualities. In Bruce's case, you'll likely hear some U2, Tom Petty, Coldplay and other great bands. Not sure you want a steady diet of Bruce and his friends? You can name a genre of music and get a mix of artists within a particular style - Celtic, Classical, Chant, etc. - and like magic, you'll listen to a creative assortment within the genre. And it's all free (with a very limited number of ads) or for a modest subscription fee, you can listen ad-free.

Why am I telling you all of this? Oh yes...it's true.. it's now possible to create a station called Sandi Kimmel Radio  featuring music from my three albums plus songs from a wide variety of artists that Pandora decided were a good match for my fans. I'm in great company! In fact, it's really fun to listen to the station because I find myself liking the music of all the other artists they've chosen to be on my station. I'm loving Cosy Sheridan, Jack Johnson, Kate Wolf and the rest of the artists I'm hearing.

The best part is that the Music Genome Project actually categorized my music...which I've been trying to do for YEARS! "New Age aesthetics, folk roots, gospel influences, mild rhythmic syncopation and acoustic sonority." Yup. That's me!

There's a lot more I could tell you about Pandora but you'll have a lot more fun discovering on your own. Start here and you'll make me (and you) very, very happy...http://broadcaster.pandora.com/t?r=927&c=0&l=37961&ctl=16AF1E2:DB62FCF441304730A9E01315B97113C3&

Special St. Patrick's Day Message

My husband, Patrick Joseph Michael Murphy, always enjoys the extra attention on St. Patrick's Day (and he deserves it)! And I'm learning that being honorary Irish has its advantages, too. I get to bask in the beautiful Spring weather appreciating all the GREEN, and enjoy the great Irish music we have playing in the house.

So as a special message for today, I thought I'd share this Irish Blessing from the very excellent Heron Dance - Pause for Beauty Newsletter.
